HOT!

That is all I have to say. It is REALLY HOT! Have a mentioned I hate humidity? I am sure I have. Greg is doing homework as usual and I am hanging on the couch avoiding the outside. I miss home. My new job is pretty cool though. Amilee has started chewing on my plastic shoes. She is such a weirdo cat. She eats shoes, sits, wrestles with Pierre and she growls. What more could you want?

Early to bed...for work in the morning

I am getting really tired of working sat and sun am's. For YEARS! Sat has been my gargage sale day.Everyone knows I am queen of the sales or at least the cheap shoppers. Anyways my work keeps on scheduling me. I think this weekend will have to be the last. I told her about sat but someone I work with was shot in a random shooting in the knee and has been out for a while. This fact has caused me to be understanding. He is better now and will be working this weekend so HEY it is time for me to have my Sat. back. Also Greg is at a party and was last Friday also. I would be there but I have to get up early.

My barista job is going very well. It is cold in there and the people that come in are really cool so is the manager and owner. I swear i have had aready 5 jobs since I came here. I have been here almost 3 months. I think all the change is just due to my personality and also the fact that I am not doing what is my passion. My online store will be running soon. It has just been hard because Greg is in charge of my websight and he is SO busy with homework.

I am still missing home lately.

I miss my sister. I am going to be an auntie agian and i would really like to see her while she has the baby in her belly. I realized the other day I have not seen her since my wedding which was over a year ago. She is in New Mexico. I have been sending lennon the harry potter books. He has been reading like mad.

Pierre decided to put our shoes on the bed while we where gone. I think it would of been fun to watch through the window while he dragged 5 shoes from the livingroom to the bedroom. He is such a funny dog. It is funny because he did not chew on a single one. It would of not been so funny if he had. He was so proud sitting next to his display.

Getting hot here and bugs are coming out

The weather is starting to become the weather I had been warned about. It is SO muggy. I hear Minneapolis has been bad also. There are these bugs here that make a REALLY horrible noise and they are everywhere. Also liquor stores are all called PACKAGE stores. That is kind of strange to. Lets see what else is weird different about Altanta. The roads are really messed up and you can not go some where one way and back the opposite direction because you will get lot. Which I have many many times.

Things are going well. I was just hired to run a little coffee house in the evening. The hours are mon-friday 6pm-midnight, that will leave only weekends for the flying buiscut but that is ok because I need more hours and the money is better. Plus I REALLY wanted to work in a coffee house agian. Looks like it is going to be a great place . The lady that owns it is really good and so is the boss. Agian it is only 3 blocks away. That is a GREAT thing when the heat starts to come here and I am sweating outside just standing still. The other day I took 3 showers in one day it was that bad. So people that want to visit. I would advice visiting sometime in august or sept.
Greg and I have been talking about austin texas someday.....it is hot there to though. I love Austin and would move there in a heartbeat. "
I have been on the south beach "eating plan" for 4 days now. I have done really well. I have a week and 1/2 to go before I can eat rice agian. I miss rice. I will keep you posted., I is a really easy plan to follow and i am not hungry all of the time. ann

Grocery shopping.....

What is with the store these days. I picked up a meal today to buy and it only had microwave instructions. So some food these days just can be made in the microwave? That is really unhealthy. We do not have a microwave and dont want one. Well just thought I would mention it and see if anyone else knows what the deal is?????Is this generation to busy to make food besides the microwave or get take out. I am slowly realizing the joy of cooking. It can be LOTS of fun and relaxing to. Anyways have a great weekend and try to cut down on the processed foods. You will feel better.

Storms and floods everywhere

So Atlanta has been raining so much lately. it is all coming from the storm in Flordia and I just go my internet back today. I have never been in so much rain in my entire life. I love rain but this is getting a bit much. Plus the fact I just ride a bike or walk everywhere it is kind of hard to get around in storms. One of the first things I did when I moved here was bought a new umbrella. There is no messing around here you have to buy the LARGE ones. A regular size umbrella will just not do. Anyways not much happening here except for the weather. I am working, Greg doing homework. I have had lots of time to read. I am currently reading about money management. I am taking the 2 years here to work on myself and my life. It is nice. I still feel as though I am on vacation. I have been here 2 1/2 months now. bed time, ann

Long days at work......make you stronger

I just got home. I have found myself working a job hosting starting at 8am sat and sun. It is at the same place that I bake except the money is the same as when I was serving. Finally I am making some cash agian. Greg is thankful I can contribute.
Our kitty somehow has come up with a cold or something. She has been sneezing for about a week now. I am not really sure what the deal is. The thought of a large vet bill scares me.
Anyways.....Things are going well here. I hear minneapolis heat has been worse than it has been here. So far this has been a mild summer. It is very plesant. Greg has started school agian and it is nose to the grindstone. I do not work tomorrow and i am very thankful. i will be taking it easy and using up some of the whiskey we have just hanging around.
For those who know me will know my drink has always been whiskey and coke. ANY kind of Whiskey. I have changed!!!!I like Whiskey and Sprite. It is so much better. I still like the cheap whiskey though. It has been 10 years with the coke a cola, time for a change.
I recieved my business cards yesterday. Now I just have to start the business. The cards are GREAT. I love them. They are a little biy or insperation for me to get started. I will soon. I would say in the next month or 2 the websight will be up and running. There are always annrocks73 on ebay. I am still thrfiting and selling and doing ok.

Sunny Saturday

Today was a food loving day. I always love food but today was farmers market day. We attended a market that was new to us and was the BEST market I have ever been to. Local Organic foods. PLUS a deli and cafe that makes fresh pasta, juices and other local organic foods. We spent 100. and got about 300. worth of foods. It is open everyday of the week also .It is now our new grocery store. Hopefully this is a start to our healthier living. I am going to quit drinking also due to the empty calories. BUT that will not happen until after Lisa is here and gone. We have to have some unresponsible fun while she is here. I supose there is always yoga
I am not sure if I have mentioned my new favorite things lately but I will today. CROCS. They are the coolest new shoes and I am telling you right now if you have not heard of them you will. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I bought these and got rid of my birkenstocks and my earth shoes. THey are both great shoes but nothing compairs to crocs. How about standing on your feet all day and have them not hurt in the evening. YES it can happen. I really think they should hire me as a sales person. Many of my friends he have bought them. THey cost 35.00 so how can you go wrong. I also would like to say that i think in about 5 years they will come out and say that SPENDA is NOT OK! I am not sensitive to many foods but when I consume SPENDA I get raging headaches and feel as though I am getting sick. It is NOT sugar. I prefer to use Stevia which is natural does not taste just like sugar but hell what does besides sugar.
As far as the websight goes it will be coming along soon. Greg has been enjoying his time off and I did not want to ask him to do anything while he is relaxing. It will come about but it is no rush. I have decided with some help of friends to sell some modern home furnishings and also high end clothing and hopefully some help clothing and other home made products. Do you make something fun???
